    Frequently Asked Questions

    GETTING STARTED

How do I get started with SoveWell?

Complete the inquiry form on our website. Our clinical team reviews every submission and will send you a scheduling link if a home sleep test is appropriate for you, or we will reach out if we need more information first.

    Do I need a referral?

No referral is required. You can find us online, through social media, or via a physician referral. All new patients go through our intake review before scheduling to make sure we're the right fit.

What happens during my first visit?

Your first appointment is a telemedicine visit with one of our board-certified sleep medicine providers. We'll review your symptoms and medical history to determine if a home sleep test is appropriate. If it is, we'll order the device and ship it directly to your home.

Who is a good candidate for a home sleep test?

HSATs are best suited for adults with symptoms suggesting obstructive sleep apnea — snoring, witnessed pauses in breathing, gasping, excessive daytime sleepiness, or morning headaches. Patients with certain heart or lung conditions, suspected central sleep apnea, or other complex sleep disorders may require an in-lab study. Your SoveWell physician will help determine what's right for you.

    Where is SoveWell available?

We are currently serving patients throughout Ohio via telemedicine.

    THE SLEEP TEST

What is a home sleep apnea test (HSAT)?

An HSAT is an FDA-cleared device that monitors your breathing, oxygen levels, heart rate, and sleep patterns overnight in your own bed — a clinically validated alternative to an in-lab sleep study for appropriate candidates.

    What device will I use?

SoveWell uses three different FDA-cleared devices. Depending on your underlying sleep concern, we will determine which home sleep study we utilize.

What if I can't sleep well during the test?

Some disruption is normal and usually still yields usable data. If you sleep fewer than approximately 4 hours, we may ask you to repeat the test. Our team will guide you through it.

What if the test doesn't produce usable results?

Our team reviews every study. If the data is insufficient, we'll reach out to determine the best next step — repeat testing or an alternative evaluation.

    RESULTS & TREATMENT

How long does it take to get my results?

Typically, within 3–10 days after you ship the device back. We'll then schedule a follow-up telemedicine visit to review them together.

What happens after my sleep test?

Your provider will walk you through your results, answer your questions, and outline next steps. If you're diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea, we'll discuss treatment options and help you get started. You'll never receive a report without guidance.

What treatment options does SoveWell offer?

CPAP therapy is the gold-standard treatment for obstructive sleep apnea and the most common path forward. Your provider will guide you through equipment selection, setup, and ongoing compliance monitoring. Additional options may be discussed based on your diagnosis; these include, but are not limited to, oral appliance therapy, behavioral therapies, and possibly medication or surgical options.

Do I need a prescription for CPAP?

Yes. CPAP is an FDA-regulated medical device requiring a prescription. If you're diagnosed through SoveWell, your provider will issue it as part of your care.

    INSURANCE & PRICING

    Do you accept insurance?

SoveWell is currently a self-pay practice. We are actively credentialing with Medicare and commercial payers and will update this page as that changes.
